The International Monetary Fund may not be able to release its next $5 billion payment to Greece next month. Unless European governments moved in to pick up the slack, Greece would face default.

Global economy to grow by 4.2% in 2011, OECD says, while raising U.S. growth forecast to 2.6%
The OECD kept its forecast for global economic growth at 4.2% for 2011 and 4.6% in 2012, and raised its forecast for U.S. economic growth to 2.6% in 2011. That’s up from 2.2% in its November 2010 forecast. It left its 2012 forecast at 2.2%.
Can U.S. stock markets hold if German and French markets crack?
One thing that troubles me about the U.S. market’s ability to hold that level and keep that upward trend line intact is the breakdown of core European stock markets. The German and French stock markets—the keys to Europe’s financial markets—are looking a little shaky.
